Cbank says keeps signal on possibility of raising key rate

MOSCOW, Apr 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian central bank keeps a signal on the possibility of raising the key rate at the next meetings if pro-inflation risks intensify, but the decision is not predetermined, Deputy Chairman Alexei Zabotkin said at a meeting on Wednesday.

“If the pro-inflation risks intensify, the board of directors will assess the advisability of raising the rate at the next meetings. But this decision is not predetermined,” he said.

The key rate is currently at 7.5% per annum. The next meeting of the central bank's board of directors will be held on April 28.
